Our Work Is To Listen & Share
Our Work Is To Listen & Share
At CKC, we learn directly from women and marginalized communities living with and responding to climate change. While official reports document the science, we share the stories of people taking action through climate-resilient farming and fishing, renewable energy, traditional ecological knowledge, resilient housing, environmental monitoring, education, and health research
what we do
Centering lived realities of women
The Climate Knowledge Collective (CKC) conducts oral histories with women in marginalized communities around the world who develop practical solutions to climate change.
- 35 oral histories of climate activists
- 80 interviews with smallholder farmers
- 20 communities
- 11 countries (inc. Brazil, Bangladesh, Chile, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Malawi, Senegal, Thailand/Myanmar, Uganda, and the United States)
Place-based, data-informed storytelling
