We are a global network of researchers and activists.
Across disciplines, sectors, and continents, we generate and share knowledge rooted in lived experience. Our purpose is clear — to amplify women-centered climate action, locally and globally.
Our Approach
We center women’s experiences, emotions, ideas and cultural contexts as essential knowledge and data.
We use a feminist, reflective approach to research that continually examines assumptions, biases, and power dynamics. We use a participatory action research framework to combine lived experience with academic study, to produce work that is driven by those doing climate action work and grounded in their agendas.

our HISTORY
Dr. Peg Spitzer
In 2024, Dr. Peg Spitzer founded the Climate Knowledge Collective (CKC) to center women’s climate leadership, especially in communities whose knowledge is too often under-recognized.
Her research, including her book Empowering Female Climate Change Activists in the Global South (Emerald Insights, 2023), revealed a striking gap: Women were driving critical climate solutions, yet their contributions were rarely recorded in the places where global climate action is shaped.
CKC was created to change that—by amplifying the knowledge of women at the frontlines of climate resilience.
Peg’s approach to oral history, and her understanding of its role in knowledge creation, grew out of her work in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at Stony Brook University.
